Our Mission Statement

Sew Chateaux is a destination shop for your sewing, decorating, fine crafting and gift needs, with an appreciation for traditional hand crafts. Our goal is to provide a warm and inviting space where you will feel inspired, find a keepsake, enjoy opportunities to be present, with gratitude for each of our individual journeys, where we can create heirlooms together that can be cherished by loved ones for generations.

Our inspiration comes mostly from Western European romantic, seasonal traditions and classical design elements drawn from French, English, Celtic, German and Scandinavian roots. Though you will find North American, New England and some global native influences too, we look forward to continuing to draw inspiration from artists and designers, old, new, local and afar.

We are a purveyor for those who appreciate designer quality quilting fabrics, family heirlooms, fine hand crafting, antique and vintage treasures, and getting inspired. Stop in and explore our inventory of ever evolving high quality curated goods. We have a beautiful selection of inventory to begin this journey together and will be refining and adding more in the coming weeks and months. Explore our vintage finds while you shop. Witch Hat Class II

We had so much wickedly witchy fun we thought we would do it again! We are excited to be making witch hats again with Susan! Pattern, templates and interfacing required for one hat are included. Susan will be emailing students within days of the workshop with further details. Beginner level.

Small Jelly Roll Workshop

Join us and learn the basics of Jelly Roll construction, the foundation for moving on to baskets and larger rugs. 

Skill level is a confident beginner.  

The workshop fee includes 1 Jelly Roll pattern, 1 Clover Jelly Roll Tool, and 25' of 2-1/2" batting on a roll, enough to make one small Jelly Roll Rug. You will bring 21- 2 1/2" x 42" fabric strips.

It is ESSENTIAL to have a sewing machine that can do a zig zag stitch and a walking foot. Susan will be emailing students within days of the workshop with further details.

Sewing Curves The Easy Way

Lets Explore sewing curves with The QCR Mini Ruler for assembling precise, pin-less curve blocks! This project is for a door hanging size 26" x 38". A perfect introduction to this method of quilting by Sew Kind of Wonderful with Free Spirit. When these blocks are combined in certain color combinatoins you will be delighted with what you can make. The quilts are another adventurous, curvy avenue in the world of quilting! Betty will assist you with choosing and working with your pattern from a dozen curved patterns that feature using this ruler. Or do you have a pattern that you've been meaning to get some help with? Bring it along!

Workshop fee includes one POSH curved pattern and one QCR Mini Curved Ruler. If you already have the pattern and/or the ruler your workshop fee will be $45. Confident beginner-Intermediate.
